Teaching Experience
I have taught Bilingual, ESL and Special Ed. from first grade to 6th. I taught in Austin, Del Valle and Dripping Springs, Texas ISD.
My most rewarding and fulfilling time in Texas schools was working as a CALT and attending Dyslexia Conferences spending time connecting with other therapists. Seeing how my students have excelled years after their Take Flight intervention therapy.

Why did you decide to become a CALT?
After watching a teacher mentor trained in Multisensory Phonics work with struggling readers with success I knew then that I wanted to be a CALT. I have never regretted it.
Favorite moment working with dyslexic students?
Bonding with my students and watching them make progress in reading as they go.
Your goal when working with kids with dyslexia?
To help my students feel empowered in their reading and help them rapidly achieve their grade level reading.
To continue to learn as much as possible from other experts and therapists to help students become proficient readers and writers.
Your teaching style, personality?
I have a sense of humor with my students and relaxed.
I tend to craft my sessions around the needs of my students. In other words I follow the child from where they are.
