Teaching Experience

I have always enjoyed teaching my students and helping them achieve confidence and understanding. I have worked with clients ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade. As a lifelong learner myself, committed to staying up-to-date with the latest information to help my students experience success, I hope to inspire a love of learning in your child.
I look forward to working with your student and you.

Why did you decide to become a CALT?

As a classroom teacher, the traditional teaching method wasn’t helping all students learn to read. I was tired of seeing my students struggle and decided to expand my knowledge in the Science of Reading. In 2020, I decided to go all in and started working in the private sector, and it has been the BEST decision of my life.

Favorite moment working with dyslexic students?

When a student makes the connections between decoding and encoding, realizing that they have the tools they need, they just needed a little guidance to find and access them.

Your goal when working with kids with dyslexia?

I want the student to walk away, knowing that they are an excellent learner! The path there is different for everyone.

Your teaching style, personality?

quiet, encouraging, and silly
