Why did you decide to become a CALT?
My two children have dyslexia, and seeing their struggles prompted me to become a CALT.
Favorite moment working with dyslexic students?
Oh my goodness, how can I choose a favorite moment! I truly love working with dyslexic students because I learn just as much from them as they learn from me. If I had to pick a favorite moment, I love seeing the light bulb moment when my students realize they can read!
Your goal when working with kids with dyslexia?
My goal is to have each of my students become confident readers and they all do!
Your teaching style, personality?
Kind, caring, empathetic, organized, structured, diagnostic, prescriptive.
Any family details?
I have two amazing children who both have dyslexia and are now engineers! My sweet husband and I have our adorable dog, Bear, and he comes us very busy.
