Why did you decide to become a CALT?
To provide dyslexia students with explicit, systematic and Multisensory instruction.
Favorite moment working with dyslexic students?
Helping them find their potential with reading, writing and spelling. I love it when they realize they are already smart; they just need a different approach to implement new learning.
Your goal when working with kids with dyslexia?
To help them realize we all learn differently. I want to assist them to excel in learning, understand their brain and find their potential. I hope I help make them a more well-rounded individual.
Your teaching style, personality?
I am structured and caring. I like for the student to engage and ask questions so I can help them grow.
Any family details?
I have been married to my husband for 29 years. He is also a teacher! We have two children and two dogs.
